Terms of Service

everlit is a personal digital remembrance service. Pages are created by individuals who wish to honor someone they miss. A memorial page is not an official obituary, death certificate, or public record. We do not verify the identity of the person being remembered or the relationship of the page creator.

You agree not to use this service to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent memorial pages
• Harass, defame, or threaten any person
• Upload offensive, hateful, or abusive content in guestbook messages
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to the deceased
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or abuse the platform or its users

We may remove content or suspend pages that violate these rules. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent removal without refund.

You are responsible for the content you submit, including names and guestbook messages. By creating a page, you confirm you have a genuine intent to remember someone respectfully. We reserve the right to moderate or remove content reported as abusive or fraudulent.

Memorial pages are not deleted because of a failed subscription payment or cancelled Lightkeeper subscription. Paid features may revert to the free tier, but the page itself remains online.

Optional paid plans (Keep It Lit, Memorial Page Plus, and Lightkeeper Monthly) are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a plan, you agree to the price shown at checkout.

• Keep It Lit and Memorial Page Plus are one-time purchases that unlock features permanently for that memorial page.
• Lightkeeper Monthly is a recurring subscription billed each month until cancelled.

Lightkeeper Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Stripe Customer Billing Portal (accessible from your memorial management page). Cancellation stops future charges; your memorial page remains online.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan in the twelve months before the claim.

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where everlit operates. If you have a dispute, please contact us first at info@everlit.space so we can try to resolve it in good faith.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
